Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and dedication to increasing South African Social Security Company (SASSA) products and services during an engagement together with the agency's senior professionals at a strategic setting up session in Cape Town.

Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the numerous social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric exams.

Of the 724 156 full-time learners who registered with the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing 81% of the registered pupils from the schooling sector.

These learners accomplished a commendable pass rate of 86%.
