The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA might be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The services issue made for intervention encounters a higher inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all website people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to permit the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
